The Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West (IBA West) is the nation's largest regional trade association representing insurance brokers and independent insurance agents in the West. The group was established in 1995 through the consolidation of two organizations, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of California and the Western Association of Insurance Brokers.

Today, IBA West represents 811 member agencies in California, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, representing 13,000 insurance brokers, independent agents and their staff.

IBA West's mission on behalf of insurance brokers and agents in the West is to:

• Be their unrelenting legislative, judicial, regulatory and industry advocate

• Provide insurance and financial products, business services and education programs that enhance their ability to sell and serve their customers

• Vigorously promote to the public the value of their professional services

• Further integrity and excellence in business practices

• Assist members to prosper in the face of dynamic change and challenges within the integrated financial services industry.

IBA West is divided into numerous local associations throughout California. We are the Independent Brokers and Agents of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena.

As your local association we have several events
scheduled in 2009, including:

• Breakfast Meetings (the majority of which are eligible for CE credit),
• "I" Day (in conjunction with the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles chapters)
• Underwriters Appreciation Cocktail Party
• Young Agents Conference
• Various Young Agent Events
• Installation of Officers Dinner
• Golf Tournament
• Christmas Luncheon

We also donate our time and a portion of our proceeds to the following:
